A low sodium cookbook lovingly created by fellow Meniere's sufferers to help everyone; from someone just starting out on their low sodium journey; the beginner cook right through to the accomplished cook.
A great resource for anyone on a low sodium journey and proudly Australian.
"A whirl of people with Ménière’s disease spun out of control and created this low-sodium cookbook, taking revenge on the ‘Dizzy Terror’. They collected low-sodium recipes from people with lived experience with Ménière’s, so the Ménière’s monster is starved of the sodium in our food!"
The 88 recipes and 244 food suggestions are tried and true by people living with vertigo, tinnitus, and hearing loss. Besides recipes, inside you’ll find information about sodium, foods that fight inflammation, salt free seasonings, marinades and rubs for the art of flavour, a 4 week meal plan, your own meal planner, and pages to add your own recipes and notes.
Dedicated to those who have Ménière’s disease, in response to the many who ask, ‘Does anyone have any good recipes with low sodium?’

I was so excited to receive this book as I have suffered from Ménière’s disease for over 20 years. My situation has been kept under control through the low sodium diet, but I have now also become intolerant to rye, wheat, barley and dairy products! The book gives a great insight into Ménière’s disease and a good variety of suggestions for snacks and changes to a regular diet that includes sodium.
I am a little disappointed with the lack of actual recipes but that’s probably due to people like me who didn’t get around to sending in recipes - though mostly I just adjust the ingredients in recipes to the foods that I can tolerate! Thank you for the wonderful presentation and idea of a cookbook for those of us who sometimes struggle with variety in our daily menus.
An excellent resource…elegantly presented and informative. And above all, useful!
