Let's Party! Scrummy Low Salt Dips and Seasonings from The Spice Trading Company

Try This One - Holy Chilli Guacamole Dip - It's Sensational! 

Preparation Time
15 min

Ingredients
  1. 1 sachet Holy Chilli Guacamole Dip Mix and Seasoning
  2. 1 small avocado
  3.  A squeeze of lemon juice
  4. 1x 250g Light Sour Cream (for other low salt options use natural Greek yoghurt. Mascapone cheese or even mashed potato)
  5. Ghee or olive oil
  6. 1 tomato, chopped finely
  7. 1 onion, chopped finely
  8. 1/2 teaspoon Cumin Seeds

Instructions
  1. Mix the Holy Chilli Guacamole spice blend into the 250g of light sour cream and let sit.
  2. Crush the avocado with a squeeze of lemon juice and let sit.
  3. In a saucepan heat 1 tablespoon of ghee or olive oil, then add 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds. Once heated, add the onion and let them brown slightly, then add the tomato. Cook until softened.
  4. Combine the avocado mix with the sour cream/spice blend mix, and then add the tomato and onion sauce.
  5. It's ready to serve

Dreamy Carrot and Sweet Potato Soup - Great for Those Chilly Autumn Evenings 

Preparation Time 10 min
Cooking Time 20 min
Total Time 30min



Ingredients
  1. 2 tablespoons ghee or olive oil
  2. 1 large brown onion
  3. 1 Sachet Dreamy Carrot & Nutmeg Spice Blend
  4. 3 cups diced sweet potato
  5. 3 cups chopped peeled carrots
  6. 3 cups vegetable stock
  7. 1 1/2 cups water
  8. 150-200 ml cooking cream (optional)
  9. Parsley to garnish

Instructions
  1. Melt ghee or olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat and then add the onion. Once softened add the sachet of Dreamy Carrot & Nutmeg spice blend. Move to one side of the dish.
  2. Add 1 tablespoon ghee or olive oil, melt then add the sweet potato and carrot and stir through the ghee. Then add the water and stock and salt if desired. Stir through the onion and spice blend mix. Bring to a boil and then simmer until cooked.
  3. Cool and let sit for 5-10 mins and then blend with a handheld kitchen mixer preferably. Can be cooked in a thermomix or mixed in a food processor. Cream can then be added and the soup is ready to be served!
Notes
  1. Perfect for children as it is kind of sweet and nutritious! Great soup for dipping bread!
